Look for Fun: Steam punk

Image
I bought myself ultra cool goggles today, and I wanted to do a quick lnok to show them! I didn't take any photos of my eyes, but the look was pretty similar to the black & gold Emma Watson look I did, just more blending, more black, MAC Old Gold instead of Goldilux and a hint of brown to soften the look.  Lips are Lime Crime Chinchilla . (The shirt in the first pic is from restyle.pl , wig is from ebay) All photos taken by JWolf <3

Tutorial: Urban Graffiti

Image
Another "not-wearable" look, this time with tutorial! I was searching for inspiration late at night, and I found some graffiti pictures and decided to challenge myself to try to graffiti makeup. Like said, this isn't really wearable in real life, but I think something like this would look great on photoshoots or something! I started with priming my eye, and sketching the shape of the graffiti with black pencil. Then I applied NYX Jumbo pencil Milk to make the colors really pop, because I wanted this to be BRIGHT. Next I started to color the "graffiti", I used Sugarpill Dollypop & Afterparty. More coloring, Sugarpill Buttercupcake, Midori, Flamepoint and Love+ The I enhanced the outlines, first with black eyeliner, then with orange (MUFE Aqua Cream #10) Then I colored the lid with Sugarpill Goldilux, and and added Sugarpill Bulletproof to outer corner and crease to bring depth to the look. Then some more details, I wanted to do bubbles, so I used Illamasqua D...

Avengers assemble!

Image
Here are all the Avenger looks that I made, I'll make a separate post of each look with details of the products I used. :) Most of them are done inspired by the new movie, but with some I also wanted to bring something from the comics to them. :) Check out how each look is done and what products were used: Iron Man Captain America Thor Hulk Hawkeye Black Widow Nick Fury Loki

Jangsara On Fire

More Hunger Games! In both first book and the movie there are two "outfit moments" that inspired me (and a lot of others too :D) First is the scene where Tributes are introduced to the crowd: Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games That scene was transferred to to the movie quite nicely, as you can see from these gifs: The other outfit is Katniss's dress she wore when interviewed by Caesar Flickerman. Here's how it was described in the book: Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games Then the movie version: There is some jewels on her shoulder, and the skirt is in flames when she moves, but.. Not exactly what I expected. What does all this have to do with makeup then? I did two looks inspired by these outfits, one on FIRE, and other one with jewels :D These looks are not really based on either of the outfits, but more of a mix and match and inspired. Here's the first one: Again, I used various products, but Sugarpill is mainly to thank. Buttercupcake, Flamepoint and Lumi were u...

Coal and fire

Image
I finally "found" the Hunger Games, I read the first two books and today I went to see the movie, and I've been totally obsessed with the world of inspiration it gives me! I would move to Capitol to become an makeup artist in an instant, if it would be possible! :D For now I have done two Effie looks, two general Capitol looks, one Capitol test look and yesterday night I did this Katniss inspired look. It's kinda inspired by the whole "Girl on fire" - theme, but I also was inspired by the outfit in the second book: I wanted to represent coal, fire and that rebellious atmosphere in the makeup. There's no tutorial, no full face look (like said, it did this late at night, so I only did one eye, and this is meant to be more expressional photos than wearable makeup), not even a product list, because I used a ton of different products to do this. :P I hope you still like it! And one with dull light and without photoshopping: Brace yourselves, more Hunger Games...

Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism part 1 - Apocalips

Image
As most of you probably already know, Illamasqua's new collection is out! The new collection is called Human Fundamentalism: Human Fundamentalism is an explosion of your alter ego. It’s becoming who you are and not who you’re told to be. Beauty isn’t conformity, but the fundamental human desire to express your inner self on the outside. To rise above mainstream limitations and exist in a world where individuality is received with celebration not derision, and breaking the mould is a sign of strength not instability.  We stand for freedom of expression, embracing our glorious imperfections and showing the world we’re not ordinary but extraordinary, even if society refuses to accept it. We’re beyond conformity. Beyond control. Beyond hiding who we really are. We are not a religion, but the singular opposite. We are Illamasqua. Products  Powder Eye Shadow (£15.00) An explosion of highly pigmented Powder Eye Shadows in six bold shades: Burst (Blue Green), Cancan (Lilac Purple),...
