A Match Made in Sheer Peach Heaven.

I purchased the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm when I was home in California a few weeks ago, and the first thing I noticed about it was its striking resemblance in color to my Clarins Lip Perfector in #2 . So off I went digging into my makeup bag before realizing that I was an idiot and didn't bring it with me...biggest travel makeup packing mistake ever! As soon as I got home, though, I tried out the combo immediately and honestly, these two products were made for each other. Revlon Charm (left) and Clarins #2 Wearing Clarins #2 over Revlon Charm . The two shades are pretty much identical, although the stain left behind by Charm tends to lean a bit darker and more corally...think a much more muted version of MAC Costa Chic lipstick. Both products are quite moisturizing on their own anyways, especially the lip perfector, but together, I find that the lip perfector helps to seal in the moisture (and the color) even longer. Love it! Face: Bourjois Healthy Mix Ser...

Revlon Coastal Surf: The Perfect Summery Blue.

Image
I'm not usually much into blue nail polish, but when I saw Coastal Surf from Revlon's Colorstay line, I couldn't resist.  It's a bit deeper than a sky blue, has no shimmer, and is nothing if not bright and cheerful. To be quite honest, it reminds me of a Smurf :D  I've only worn it for a day, so I can't comment on its wear time yet, but I have high hopes based on reviews I've read on the range. It was nearly opaque and streak-free in 1 coat and exceeded perfection in 2. I think it'd make the perfect summer pedicure color, too! What's your favorite blue polish?

A little bit of everything.

Mini haul alert! If you guys read my last post , you'll know that I fell head over heels in love with the new Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in the shade Rendezvous , so it should come as no surprise that I picked up a few more shades! I went with Cherish , a bubblegum pink, and Darling , a wearable lilac shade. Cherish (left) and Darling Cherish has medium pigmentation but is very buildable, much like Rendezvous, while Darling is a bit more on the sheerer side and can only really be built up to medium-ish coverage on the lips. On my pigmented lips, the rosiness of my lips still peeks through. And the stain that I'm left with from Darling seems to be pinker than the initial color immediately after application, almost as if the lilac tones have worn off. Still very pretty though! And just like Rendezvous , these are really moisturizing and comfortable to wear, and the stain looks very natural and not flakey or dry at all :) Ever since I picked up my first two Burberry...

You Need This: Revlon Rendezvous.

I was at Target the other night (because it may or may not be like my second home), and I noticed that they just got the new Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in. Although I hadn't really been interested in them at all when I first heard about them, I am nothing if not a makeup addict, so of course, I chose a shade that stood out to me most and purchased it. I went home with Rendezvous , a bright tangerine-coral. The balm stains are like the Tarte LipSurgence Lip Stains and the Clinique Chubby Sticks with their large pencil-like packaging that actually twists up at the bottom instead of needing to be sharpened. As mentioned before, Rendezvous is a bright tangerine shade with a touch of coral, and it has no noticeable shimmer to me. It has a slightly minty scent that isn't nearly as strong as the Tarte LipSurgence line. I also don't get any sort of tingling sensation or anything like that once it's on my lips, so if you're lips are sensitive to things like t...

A Bite of Berry.

Ever since I saw this post by Victoria, I knew I needed Revlon Raspberry Bite lipstick. I've been much more adventurous these past few months in terms of makeup, and I'm definitely not afraid to wear a bright lip anymore. In fact, I sometimes rely on a bright, statement lip when I don't have as much time to do my makeup before a night out because applying lip color takes a whole lot less time than attempting a smoky eye with winged liner and perfect blending and blah blah blah, you know? I guess the only real point of this post is to declare my love for Raspberry Bite, as well as compare it to two other somewhat similar shades that also hold a special place in my heart. L to R: Revlon Cherries in the Snow Revlon Raspberry Bite MAC Rebel Raspberry Bite is a beautiful, rich red raspberry that actually looks several shades darker in the bullet than it does on the lips. It's really not a scary, vampy shade at all! Like Cherries in the Snow (and Rebel, for that matter), the...
